What is the electrical resistivity tomography ERT survey?

Electrical Resistivity Tomography Survey refers to the DC high density resistivity method, but because of the development of dc excitation polarization method, so referred to as the electrical resistivity tomography method. The resistivity tomography method is actually a method of array exploration. In field measurement, only all electrodes (dozens to hundreds) are placed on the measuring point, and then data acquisition can be realized quickly and automatically by using a program-controlled electrode switcher and microcomputer engineering electrical measuring instrument. After the measurement results are sent into the computer, the data can be processed and the results of physical interpretation of geoelectric cross section distribution can be given. Obviously, the application and development of high-density resistivity exploration technology has greatly advanced the intellectualization degree of electrical exploration.
