Tranansient Electromagnetic Resistivity Surveying System
 
  Transient electromagnetic systems utilize the principle of electromagnetic induction by transmitting electromagnetic pulses underground, then measuring the decay of the resulting magnetic field as it propagates through the earth. Since electromagnetic pulses decay at different rates in different media, studying their decay rates can accurately reflect the resistivity information of underground rock layers. Resistivity of rock layer is a reliable basis for mapping geological structures, locating groundwater, and identifing mineral deposits.
  The difference between a TEM system and resistivity meter is that 
electromagnetic pulses travel more easily through rock layers and can typically reach greater depths. Insufficient detection depth has always been a shortcoming of resistivity meters, and it cannot be easily improved through external means. Transient electromagnetic not only inherits the stable and accurate characteristics of resistivity instruments, but also provides users with the possibility of exploring deeper underground locations.

Non-buried measurement:

Transient electromagnetic systems do not require electrodes to be driven into the ground like resistivity instruments, nor do they require the installation of heavy, multi-electrode cables.Users only need to use conventional electrical wires to set up a closed loop, then turn on the instrument to start measuring. The area of the loop determines the width and depth of a single measurement. Its simple lay out process and accessory requirements can greatly improve measurement efficiency and significantly save costs.
Versatile: 
Can be used in a variety of environments and for different applications. TEM is not as strict as other methods in terms of measurement conditions. Normal exploration can be carried out regardless of uneven ground or steep mountainous terrain. Besides, typically, its detection depth can reach hundreds to thousands of meters, making it a better choice for the development of deeper mineral resources and geological structure research.

Improved Resolution in Deep Layers Survey:
Since resistivity instruments directly obtain rock layer resistivity information by supplying power to the ground, Its resolution is greatly affected by the power supply and the actual conductivity of the rock and soil. As the detection depth approaches the theoretical maximum depth that the resistivity instrument can detect, the resolution gradually decreases. While electromagnetic-pulse-based method will not be affected by these factors, which is one of the obvious different from other methods.
