The transient electromagnetic (TEM) method, alternately called time-domain EM (TDEM) or pulse EM (PEM), is a commonly-used, non-intrusive, geophysical method for obtaining subsurface resistivity-conductivity data.

TEM methods have been used in mineral exploration for more than half a century and are now used for an extremely broad range of applications in exploration, engineering, and environmental investigation.

The shallow TEM system is the company's latest research product, which incorporates WTEM-1J/GPS TEM receiver and WTEM-1X small power transmitter very well. It has the merit of the same sort shallow TEM systems home and abroad, it is characterized with big transmitting power, ultra speediness disconnection, high credibility, ultra strong anti-interference ability (sky electricity, 50 or 60 Hz industry frequency), portability, low consuming electricity.

Strong anti-interference- Program-controlled hardware filter, particular accurate power frequency, data stack and software provide the instrument strong anti-interference ability. 

Many traces and high precision- Traces number could be set by the operator, they may be distributed logarithmically or linearly. High precision crystal oscillation controls timing, and time-depth relation is steady and exact. The sampling data window distributes rationally, and reflects the true underground information. These establish the base to resolve vary difficult geologic problems. 
Quick power-off transmitter- Internal transmitter is capable of quick power-off to extent shallow prospecting range as possible. The disconnection time function could provide exact transmitter's true time for interpretation software, thereby improve the interpretative precision. 
Ultra shallow prospecting depth-It may complete several meters to one hundred meters' ultra shallow prospecting depth. 
Friendly user interface, strong function- Chinese Pocket PC could complete person-machine interface and acquisition control. Parameter setting, display and data storage, plotting can be achieved in the field easily.
