Marine Geophysicists Fish Type Sea Magnetometer Cesium Optical Pump Magnetometer Total Ocean Magnetic Field Survey Magnetic Device
The marine magnetometer is a small, towed underwater magnetic detection system characterized by low cost and high performance. It can record and display magnetic field data and GPS location information in real time via accompanying host computer software. The system uses the CAM-01 optically pumped magnetometer as its core sensor and incorporates an HM-01 frequency counting module with an adjustable sampling rate, reaching a maximum sampling frequency of 10 Hz. The CAM-01U sensor unit has a maximum operating depth of 400 meters, an overall sensitivity better than 4 pT/Hz^1/2, and can operate stably in a wide range of geomagnetic fields from 20,000 nT to 100,000 nT.
This system is particularly suitable for detecting and mapping subferromagnetic objects, including anchor bolts, chains, cables, pipes, ballast stones, scattered shipwreck debris, munitions (UXO) of various sizes, aircraft, engines, and any magnetic object. Even objects as small as a 5-inch screwdriver can be easily detected as long as the sensor is close to the seabed and within the actual detection range.
