The drill belongs to a multi-purpose portable full hydraulic engineering geological exploration drill, which is a rope coring drill powered by turbocharged diesel engine and using full hydraulic power head drilling method.

The rig is hydraulically driven and modular in design, with a large amount of aviation aluminum alloy as the material, which is lightweight and easy to install and disassemble. Biggest one module is only 150 kg, easy to install and disassemble, occupy less space, don't need special roads, do not destroy the surrounding environment and forest lawn, particularly suitable for all kinds of bad environment, high quality, high efficiency, low cost of core drilling work, in the early stage of the geological prospecting survey and has played a positive role in railway engineering investigation.
Drilling rig is mainly composed of three parts: power unit, control unit and drilling unit.The main working principle is: the diesel unit provides power to drive the hydraulic pump to generate hydraulic pressure, and the hydraulic pressure is distributed to the drilling unit through the control unit, driving the hydraulic power head and the oil cylinder, so as to drive the drilling tool rotation and drilling.
The core drilled by the drilling tool is then lifted by the hoist through the inner hole of the drill pipe to complete the work of geological drilling.
