Wireless Fiber-Optic Gyroscopic Inclinometer for Measuring Drilling Inclination
GDY-2GW is a wireless digital fiber optical gyro inclinometer, which can be used to measure dip and azimuth angles during drilling process. The GDY-2GW features a 40mm probe and is suitable for the vast majority of drilling applications. It features a built-in sensor, a memory card, and a battery pack, and can operate continuously for over 30 hours.The fiber-optic gyroscope (FOG) used inside the probe is a high-precision solid-state sensor that utilizes the Sagnac effect in coiled optical fibers to measure angular velocity. By detecting the phase difference between light beams traveling in opposite directions, it provides reliable navigation data on the drill string's trajectory within the borehole, without the need for any moving parts.
The GDY-2GW features an extremely wide measurement range (Dip : 0-50°, Azimuth: 0-360°) and excellent accuracy: (dip ±0.1°, azimuth ±2°).Since the fiber-optic gyro inclinometer measures the direction relative to the Earth's rotation (azimuth), therefore it can used for drilling, mining, and civil engineering to determine borehole orientation, inclination, and azimuth, even in high-interference or non-magnetic environments.
* Wireless Connection:
The probe can be directly attached to the drill pipe or lowered into the borehole using a steel wire rope; there is no limit to the depth to which it can be lowered. The handheld device connects to the probe via Bluetooth, allowing users to view and manage stored data directly.
* Automatic North-Finding:
By detecting the horizontal component of the Earth's rotation, it accurately calculates the direction of "true north" (azimuth) without relying on the magnetic field.
* High Precision:
Offers extreme accuracy in attitude and angle measurement, essential for complex, deep, and tight-tolerance drilling.
Rugged Reliability:
Capable of operating in high temperatures and high-vibration conditions.
