WTEM-2D Transient Electromagnetic Survey System
 
  WTEM-2D is an advanced and mature equipment to carry out geophysical transient electromagnetic survey. Transient electromagnetic systems are highly favored by geophysicists due to their ease of operation, powerful functionality, and high resolution. By supplying power to the host, the WTEM transmitter emits electromagnetic waves into the ground. By calculating the time of electromagnetic wave attenuation and return using the receiver and GPS time synchronizer, the distribution of underground rock strata can be determined.
  Compared to electrical methods(VES,ERT), transient electromagnetic systems exhibit greater electromagnetic wave penetration, enabling superior penetration of deep strata and enhanced resolution. Under favorable geological conditions, it can even measure depths of 500 meters underground. Additionally, it eliminates the need for complex cable and electrode arrangements and connections, requiring only the placement of a square wire frame with equal-length sides.
