How it works
The JQX-2 lightweight digital inclinometer works mainly based on the principle of gravity acceleration and geomagnetism. The following is a detailed introduction:
Principle of gravity acceleration measurement
Basics of angle measurement: A high-precision acceleration sensor is installed inside the instrument, which can sensitively sense the components of gravity acceleration in different directions. When the instrument is in a tilted state, gravity acceleration will produce different components in different axial directions of the sensor. By measuring the size of these components, the inclination angle of the instrument relative to the direction of gravity, that is, the vertex angle, can be calculated.
Signal conversion and processing: The acceleration sensor converts the sensed gravity acceleration component into an electrical signal, and then after a series of processing such as amplification, filtering, analog-to-digital conversion, the analog signal is converted into a digital signal and transmitted to the control unit of the instrument. The control unit processes the digital signal according to the preset algorithm, calculates the specific value of the vertex angle, and displays it directly on the display.
Principle of geomagnetic measurement
Determination of azimuth: When measuring the azimuth, the instrument uses the built-in geomagnetic sensor to sense the direction of the earth's magnetic field. Since the earth's magnetic field is relatively stable within a certain range, when the instrument rotates in the borehole, the geomagnetic sensor will detect the change in the direction of the magnetic field. By comparing it with the known geomagnetic reference direction, the azimuth of the instrument can be determined.
Data fusion and calibration: In order to improve the accuracy of azimuth measurement, the instrument will fuse the data measured by the geomagnetic sensor with the vertex data measured by the acceleration sensor. At the same time, the instrument needs to be calibrated before use to eliminate the error of the instrument itself and the interference of the surrounding magnetic field to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results.
Overall working process
Instrument installation and placement: When using the JQX-2 lightweight digital inclinometer, you need to first connect the inclinometer to the ground instrument through a cable, and then carefully place the inclinometer into the borehole. During the placement process, make sure that the instrument is along the axis of the borehole to avoid collision or friction with the borehole wall.
Data acquisition and transmission: When the inclinometer reaches the measurement position, the instrument automatically collects vertex and azimuth data and transmits the data to the ground instrument through a cable. After receiving the data, the ground instrument will further process and analyze the data, such as data storage, display, printing, etc.
Measurement and calculation: After collecting the vertex and azimuth data, the instrument's internal calculation program can calculate the trajectory and offset of the borehole based on the measured vertex and azimuth data, combined with information such as the depth of the borehole, thereby providing important reference for geological exploration, engineering construction, etc.
