Water level indicator for boreholes with 50,100,150,200,250,300,400,500 metres cable and acoustic and visual signal
Water level depth indicator, battery powered (9V, included and easily replaceable), for use in boreholes to a maximum depth of 500 metres.
The water level indicator consists of a flat, two cores, heavy duty cable calibrated in metres and centimetres on one side.
A stainless-steel probe is securely fastened to the free end of the cable and the cable with probe is attached to a cable winding reel. Measurements are taken by slowly lowering the cable with probe down the borehole until the probe comes in contact with the water. On contact with the water, the unit emits a high frequency audible signal, and the user can then take a depth reading from the calibrated cable. The unit is also equipped with an optical (light) signal that switches on upon contact of the probe with water.
Packing instructions:
The package is sturdy, with extra protection around the probe (e.g. double wrapping + extra cardboard), and the probe safely fitted within the cable winding reel frame during transport - or equivalent type of packaging guaranteeing the integrity of the product.

Instruction
During measurement, after the coil has been rotated, press the power, and put the probe into the water pipe, then hold the steel ruler cable, let the probe moves down slowly.
The sounder will gives a continuous beep when the contact point touches the water surface, then can read the depth of the steel ruler at the pipe mouth, that is the distance from the underwater level to the pipe mouth .
Notes
A)When the probe touches the water, the sounder beeps, the indicator flashes, then slowly put down the steel ruler cable, in order to find out the sound carefully or the exactly location of the indicate moment, then we can read the depth from this point to the borehole.
B) The reading accuracy is depends on the timely determination of the buzzer and the indicate starting position. The measurement accuracy is depends on the operator's proficiency, so the operator should practices more.
Maintenance
Due to the battery capacity, please turn off immediately after the measurement is completed! Remove the battery cover and replace the battery (9V battery, multi-meter battery).
Keep the probe and the steel ruler cable clean after use, and put the steel ruler cable neatly around the reel, and be placed in the cabinet.
Don't bend the measuring cable , especially when it is close to the head, to avoid the cable to be damaged.
Put the probe gently to avoid severe vibration. If the probe got any problem, please send back to our factory.
Receipt and storage
Users should check whether the number of instrument are tally with the packing list, if not, please contact with our factory. The instrument should be stored in a room of -10 ~ +40 ºC. The room's temperature is not greater than 80% with non-corrosive gas, keep the room dry and ventilated .
