Borehole Optical Televiewer 3D Imaging High Resolution Borehole Wall Color Imager Borehole Imaging Tools Televiewer Downhole Acoustic Optical Televiewer
The Borehole Optical Televiewer is an advanced tool for geological and geophysical exploration that provides high-resolution pore wall images and hole inclination measurements.
The tool uses a high-resolution digital image sensor combined with a high-definition lens and LED light to achieve continuous 360° imaging of the pore wall.
It can be used for the following applications: detailed and directional structural information, reference for core orientation, crack detection and evaluation, thin layer detection, determination of layer inclination, characterization of lithology and mineralogy, and wellbore inspection
Applications:
1. Geological Analysis: The optical borehole televiewer is extensively used for geological analysis, allowing geoscientists and geologists to study and interpret the geological formations, structures, and lithology encountered in the borehole.
2. Formation Evaluation and Characterization: It assists in formation evaluation and characterization by providing visual information about the lithology, bedding planes, fractures, and other geological features. This information is crucial for reservoir characterization and hydrocarbon exploration.
3. Fracture Detection and Analysis: The tool plays a vital role in fracture detection and analysis, identifying and characterizing fractures within the borehole wall, which is crucial for reservoir engineering, wellbore stability, and enhanced oil recovery.
4. Geo Structure Logging: The instrument serves as a logging tool specifically designed for geophysical analysis of geological structures, providing essential data for structural mapping, fault identification, and subsurface structural analysis.
5. Wellbore Stability Assessment: The optical televiewer helps in assessing wellbore stability by identifying potential stability issues, such as borehole breakout, bedding dips, and fault zones, facilitating proper wellbore design and drilling operations.
6. Reservoir Mapping and Monitoring: The tool aids in reservoir mapping and monitoring by providing detailed imaging and characterization of the subsurface formations, facilitating better reservoir management and production optimization.
