Product Description
A proton magnetometer is an instrument used to measure the strength of a magnetic field. The proton precession magnetometer operates on the principle that protons in all atoms are spinning on an axis aligned with the magnetic field. Ordinarily, protons tend to line up with the earth's magnetic field. When subjected to an artificially-induced magnetic field, the protons will align themselves with the new field. When this new field ceases, the protons return to their original alignment with the earth's magnetic field. As they change their alignment, the spinning protons precess, or wobble, like a gyroscope. The frequency at which the protons precess is directly proportional to the strength of the earth's magnetic field.
WCZ proton magnetometer is developed especially for home practical instance by referring abroad technique. It can measure magnetic in precision of 1nT. The resolving power can reach 0.1nT. These are in accord with the requirement of former Ministry of Geologic and Mineral, China. Its large memory, high resolution, agility make it a portable, mobile, base station fitted magnetometer. By changing the structure of the sonde, it can make the horizontal gradient measurement and the vertical gradient measurement at a resolution of 0.1nT

1. Vertical one-piece design---built-in GPS antenna, GPS module and lithium battery module in the host, more simple connection and reliable working.
2. Rapid measuring---It takes only 2s from starting to measuring and displaying of reading!
3. The whole range could achieve automatic tuning and manual tuning.
4. High gradient tolerance---The improved design allows the instrument to acquire survey data in a higher gradient environment. Even if the gradient exceeds 8,000nT/m and the instrument cannot measure properly, the operator could still obtain the field estimation value of the survey point through the special "estimation" function of the instrument to provide reference for later data processing and regional assessment.
5. Comprehensive data quality assessment---By monitoring the signal duration, signal amplitude on-site, it provides the operator with a comprehensive and objective data quality evaluation, which provides a reference for adjustment of field work.
6. It could be used to measure total field, horizontal gradient, vertical gradient and base station of the geomagnetic field (gradient survey needs probe and special probe holder, base station survey needs special probe tripod).
7. Optional gradient survey mode --- The instrument supports both traditional single-channel dual-probe time-sharing gradient survey and dual-channel dual-probe simultaneous high-speed gradient survey. The time of dual-channel simultaneous survey mode is reduced by half than traditional single-channel survey. But it requires a dedicated circuit board. It is an optional function of the instrument.
8. Perfect GPS navigation function---It supports import of coordinates of each point in text file or presetting of coordinates for end points of the survey line. The instrument automatically calculates the position coordinates of each survey point. It supports various coordinate formats such as latitude and longitude, Beijing 54, and Xi'an 80; it could display real time position and deviation from the set point.
9. More precise clock synchronization---It corrects the built-in precise real time clock of the instrument through the GPS time service function to ensure precise clock synchronization between the base station and different mobile measuring stations.
10. Mass data storage---Each survey point is stored with survey result of field, coordinates of survey point, elevation, time, ambient temperature, etc. Data on as many as 2 million survey points might be stored.
11. Date storage in U-disk---It supports the export of stored data through the USB interface. The instrument can be automatically recognized by the computer as general-purpose U disk storage. Operation on copying and cutting of data files are identical to those of ordinary U disks it is very convenient for using.
