Product Description

        Transient electromagnetic called Time-Domain Electromagnetic (TDEM), is the basic method applied for locating the massive sulphides, problems associated with geological structures, partly in oil-and-gas prospecting (specially to corroborate seismic data). Two variants are in common use: Stationary source and moving source. In stationary source TDEM profiling surveys a large loop is laid parallel to the strike of the formations/ targets and the Receiver is moved along the traverses to record the three components of the secondary induced magnetic field when the strong currents passing in the loop are switched off momentarily. In TDEM sounding the receiver records the transient decaying secondary magnetic field at the centre of the loop coaxially. Sophisticated software for processing profiling and sounding data is commercially available. In moving source both the transmitter and receiver are moving along the traverses.
