What's the Borehole Imager?

The borehole imager continuous logs of oriented, high resolution unwrapped video images of borehole walls. Further processing allows for the computation and
display of standard information on fractures and other geological features.


Integrated drilling hole imaging, recoding, and drilling trajectory measuring together.

What's application about borehole imager?


The device is applicable for departments of engineering geology, hydrogeology, geological prospecting, geotechnical engineering, mining and etc.; it is applicable for various drillholes such as vertical hole, horizontal hole, inclined hole (depression angle, elevation angle), anchor cable (shaft) hole, geological drillhole and concrete drillhole, etc., able to form digitalized drillhole core for permanent preservation; especially applicable for fracture zone stratum where real core cannot be acquired;
 
  1. For engineering geology and hydrogeology: to observe characteristics and fine construction of geologic bodies in drillhole, for example, stratum lithology, rock structure, fault, fissure, intercalated bed, karst and etc. and create geology bar chart;
  2. For mining geology: to observe thickness, dip and angle of vein of mine body as well as inkling direction and angle of drillhole;
  3. For coal mines and other mines: for observation and quantitative analysis on strike, thickness, dip, angle of dip, in-layer dirt band and degree of bed separation crack from roof stratum, etc.;   
  4. For concrete: to observe position and degree of defects like cavity, fissure, segregation and etc.;
  5. For pipe-pile: for observation of various abnormities or defects in pipe-pile, and quantitative analysis of joint quality as well as length, width and direction of fragmentation, fracture and fissure, etc.;  
  6. For underground pipeline: for observation of objects in pipeline and quantitative analysis on position length, width and direction of fragmentation, fracture and fissure, etc. in pipeline;
  7. For well maintenance: to detect fissure in well wall, malposition, block of filter pipe and position of drift sand, etc.
