Ordinary inclinometers mainly measure the azimuth of the borehole by orienting of magneto sensors. In magnetic mineral areas or iron casing tubes, the azimuth can't be determined for the interference of
magnetic substances. The most effective way to solve the interference of the magnetic substances is to apply gyro orientation. There are two categories of gyro: mechanical gyro and electronic gyro.
Mechanical gyro is with great zero drift, short service life and high price. The dynamically tuned gyroscope inclinometer adopts electronic gyro orientation and it is characterized in small volume, long lifetime, small zero drift, low price, etc. However, the dynamically tuned gyroscope inclinometer is poor in seismic resistance which can't meet the requirements of transportation therefore, it is easy to damage and hard to satisfy the field measurement demands with no warranty of realiable
