An instrument for measuring the resistivity of rock and ore in a borehole. When measuring resistivity, it is necessary to supply a certain current to the rock layer, and measure the potential difference between different positions of the rock layer due to the current, and then calculate the apparent resistivity. Therefore, the resistivity logging tool generally includes two parts: power supply and measurement record. Due to the influence of actual measurement conditions, the measured result is somewhat different from the actual resistivity of the rock layer, so people call such measurement result as apparent resistivity.
