The steel tape water level meter is a highly accurate tool for measuring water depths in wells, boreholes, and piezometers. Ideal for tracking groundwater levels in hydropower projects and seepage in earth-rock dams, it provides reliable data for monitoring underground water movement. With a robust design, this meter ensures consistent performance for both periodic and continuous checks, making it perfect for long-term engineering assessments. Essential for safety inspections in hydropower and dam projects, it offers dependable ongoing data for precise water level measurements.
The steel ruler water level gauge consists of a probe, a steel ruler cable, a receiving system and a winding reel.
1. When the probe's contact touches the water surface, the sounder will make a sound or the voltmeter will immediately indicate. At this time, the steel ruler cable should be slowly retracted and released to carefully find the exact position of the sound or indication moment and then read the depth dimension of the point from the hole.
2. The accuracy of the reading depends on the timely determination of the starting position of the buzzer or indication. The accuracy of the measurement is related to the operator's proficiency, so repeated practice and operation should be performed.
3. There is a brake switch in the center of the front panel to prevent the reel from rotating freely. When the measurement is completed, the switch can be tightened to the right to lock the reel to prevent rotation.
