Main Features & Founction
By utilizing the apparent resistivity parameters, it is widely used in hydrology, environmental protection, engineering geophysical exploration, metal and non-metal mineral resources exploration.
Microcomputer controlled, direct-reading resistivity, various electrode arranging mode, data protection against power-failure
This instrument applies to Electrical Prospecting such as Vertical Electrical Sounding, Electrical Profiling, Charging Method and Spontaneous Potential Method, etc. On ground and in trench.
Electric Sounding
Similar to electric profiling on variety, electric sounding includes many electrode array configurations. These electrode array configurations feature keeping measuring point position fixed but increasing distances among the electrodes. Since that distance between the current electrodes increases, transmitting current is injected deeper into the ground. Therefore, measured results are geologic reflection of the geological structure of different layers.
Combined Electrical Profiling :
It is composed of two 3-pole arrays (AMN∞and∞MNB). "∞" is the infinite electrode (or electrode C). When electrode A and electrode ∞ works as the current electrodes, measure the potential difference of electrode MN, and record the apparent resistivity as ρsA.When electrode B and electrode ∞ works as the current electrodes, measure the potential difference of electrode MN, and record the apparent resistivity as ρsB.That is, the same survey point will measure two apparent resistivity.
Compound Electrical Profiling:
It is an extension of the combined electrical profiling arrays, which add two groups of AB electrodes. So there are three groups of current electrodes (A1B1, A2B2, A3B3) , and 6 kinds of 3-pole array as A1MN∞, ∞MNB1, A2MN∞, ∞MNB2, A3MN∞, ∞MNB3. When measuring, the operator switch the AB electrode manually, so the compound electrical profiling need finished in 3 times.
