Resistivity logging
Resistivity logging is the measurement of the resistivity of rocks or sediments
Imaging logging
Imaging logging uses a rotating sensor to measure the acoustic impedance of the entire wellbore. This can be used to determine the existence and orientation of fractures, as well as the dip angle of the formation.
Density logging
Density logging is to measure the bulk density of a formation by gamma ray counting after Compton scattering and photoelectric effects are bombarded by a radioactive source. This bulk density can be used to calculate porosity.
Spontaneous potential logging
Spontaneous potential measures the difference of spontaneous potential without current. It was the first wireline logging.
