Product Description

Engineering testing instrument  high resolution sliding inclinometer

Engineering Testing Instrument High Resolution Sliding Inclinometer
The sliding inclinometer is a precision instrument used to measure the horizontal or vertical displacement changes inside rock and soil. This device has high resolution, portability, wide range, and stable performance; it can communicate with a computer and transfer the measured data to the computer for analysis. It is used as a horizontal displacement detection instrument for foundation pits, slopes, and foundations.

Basic structure
Inclinometer probe: usually built-in high-precision sensors, such as single-axis or dual-axis accelerometers, servo force balance sensors, etc., are used to sense the angle change between the probe axis and the vertical or horizontal line. The probe is equipped with a guide wheel or slider on the outside to facilitate sliding in the inclinometer tube.
Cable: connects the inclinometer probe and the host, responsible for transmitting the signals collected by the probe, and also provides power to the probe. The cable usually has a certain strength and flexibility, and can withstand a certain amount of tension and bending.
Host: It is the core component for controlling the measurement process and processing data, with a display screen, operation buttons, data storage unit and communication interface. The operator can set the measurement parameters, control the lifting and measurement of the probe, view the measurement results, and store and transmit data through the host.

Working principle
The inclinometer tube is pre-buried in the rock and soil body to be measured. The inclinometer tube has four notches for fixing the pulley of the portable inclinometer probe. When measuring, the probe is placed at the bottom of the inclinometer tube, and the probe slides along the guide groove on the inner wall of the inclinometer tube section by section. At each measuring point, the sensor in the probe measures the angle change between the probe axis and the vertical line. The horizontal displacement is calculated based on the length of the inclinometer and the angle change. The formula is Δdi=∑L.sinθi, where Δdi is the horizontal displacement, L is the distance between the measuring points, and θi is the angle change at the measuring point.

Scope of application
Geotechnical slope monitoring: used to monitor the stability of natural or artificial slopes, timely discover the displacement and deformation trend of the slope, and provide a basis for slope management and protection.
Building foundation pit monitoring: During the excavation of the building foundation pit, measure the horizontal and vertical displacement of the soil around the foundation pit to prevent the collapse of the foundation pit and the uneven settlement of surrounding buildings.
Dam monitoring: Monitor water conservancy engineering facilities such as earth-rock dams and dikes to understand the displacement changes inside the dam body and ensure the safe operation of the dam.
