  This water flow meter works based on Doppler Shift Effect, to measure water flow velocity. Sound waves emitted by sensor are received and reflected by handheld unit. The ADCP transmits acoustic waves into the water, and scatterers in the water scatter the acoustic waves; the ADCP receives the return signals from the scatterers, and analyzes their Doppler effect shifts in order to calculate the flow velocity.
  The whole process is non-contact, which is easy for installtion and can be used in many poor conditions. It can work well in both clean and dirty water. Besides,it can also carry out non-full tube measurement,which is essential for pipeline sewerage monitoring.
